First things first, why should people join Solero Markdorf?
“In short, Markdorf is a small, high-impact plant in a stable and promising industry—commercial vehicles. We specialize in LINNIG clutches, trusted by OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers worldwide. When people visit, they often mention the energy here. There’s a welcoming atmosphere, friendly people, and a real sense of openness. I’m proud of this. Our company culture prioritises ensuring employees enjoy coming to work every day, and that’s a value we hold close.”
How about work-life balance and benefits?
“Happy people make a healthy company, and we truly believe in that. We offer competitive pay, financial incentives, and plenty of benefits, including flexible working hours. Our working hours and shift models are designed to be flexible and employee-friendly. Plus, employees can enjoy wellness benefits through ‘Hansefit.’ We want our people to feel their best, both in and out of work.”
What about the team? Will I fit in?
“If you’re looking for a place where you can make a difference, Markdorf is the place to be. We’re a small team, and we wear many hats. No one here is too rigid about responsibilities—we all chip in and help each other out. Our Plant Manager’s door is always open, and there’s no hierarchy. When challenges arise, we work together to find solutions. It’s a collaborative, supportive atmosphere that encourages individual input, and everyone’s voice is valued.”
How do you support employee growth and development?
“We provide continuous learning opportunities, ensuring everyone has the chance to grow within the company. Whether you’re looking to expand your skill set or take on new challenges, we’re here to support you every step of the way.”
What’s the recruitment process like?
“It’s quick and transparent. We believe in open communication from the start. If your CV stands out, we’ll invite you to a face-to-face interview (or via Teams if you’re not local). If all goes well, we’ll invite you for a second interview, where you’ll meet your future manager and colleagues, and take a tour of our facilities. We want you to feel comfortable and informed every step of the way.”
What do you look for in an employee?
“In addition to the right skills, we look for someone who is truly motivated, eager to make a difference, and passionate about the work they do. If you’re open-minded and ready to contribute, you’ll be a great fit.”
Do you offer apprenticeships?
“Absolutely! We always have six apprentices in various roles, and most of them stay with us after their apprenticeship because of the knowledge they’ve gained and the strong sense of camaraderie here. We also attend job fairs, where we share information with future apprentices. Apprenticeships are key to our future, and we love seeing fresh talent grow within our team.”
