Internal Combustion Engines: Enhancing performance and reducing emissions
Solero Technologies has developed advanced piston cooling valves to address the growing challenges of downsizing and emission reduction in modern internal combustion engines. Our cutting-edge cooling valves are designed to deliver pollutant reduction, permanent lubrication, faster engine heating, and precise piston temperature control, making them an ideal solution for meeting Euro 6 standards.
By utilizing oil spray cooling, our piston cooling valve reduces thermal loads and temperature gradients during engine operation. During warmup, the valve stops the oil spray, enabling quicker engine warmup times. This innovation leads to significant reductions in pollutant emissions and oil consumption, while maintaining optimal engine performance.
With evolutionary design improvements, our piston cooling valve achieves a 64% weight reduction and a 66% reduction in energy consumption compared to traditional solutions. Solero Technologies’ piston cooling valve is recognized as one of the best in the market, offering unmatched efficiency, reliability, and performance.
Working principle
The piston cooling valve from Solero Technologies operates by regulating oil spray to manage the temperature of the piston in internal combustion engines. During engine operation, the valve sprays oil onto the piston to absorb heat, reducing thermal loads and preventing temperature gradients. This helps prevent engine damage and ensures consistent performance under high-temperature conditions.
However, during the engine’s warmup phase, cooling is not required. The piston cooling valve intelligently stops the oil spray to facilitate quicker warmup times, reducing energy consumption. Once the engine reaches optimal operating temperature, the valve resumes oil spray to maintain proper piston cooling.
By effectively managing the oil flow, the piston cooling valve helps to reduce emissions, optimize fuel efficiency, and minimize oil consumption while maintaining engine performance. Its compact design and advanced technology make it a vital component for modern, efficient engine management systems.
