Mile after Mile.
Solero’s electromagnetic 3/2-way valves provide reliable performance in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Parking, lane-keeping, overtaking, adaptive cruise control. Everyday driving maneuvers have become easier and safer thanks to ADAS. Optical sensors and cameras play a critical role in these systems, enabling a vehicle to sense the surrounding environment while on the move. But if these sensors or cameras become obscured by (for example) snow, rain, dust, bugs, or bird droppings, their readings become unreliable. Then, drivers must take full control of the wheel themselves.
Our electromagnetic 3/2-way valves help keep cameras, and windows, clean and reliable. The valves distribute cleaning media (air, water, cleaning fluid) to the cleaning system’s nozzle with the right pressure and flowrate. Fluid usage is efficient, while medium consumption is kept to a minimum.
Working principle
Efficient cleaning solution with electromagnetic 3/2-way valves for cameras & ADAS sensors
Modern Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) are essential for safe and comfortable driving. Optical sensors and cameras help vehicles detect their surroundings – but only if they remain clean and free from dirt, rain, snow, or dust. Reliable sensor cleaning is crucial for maintaining the functionality of these systems.
This is where our electromagnetic 3/2-way valves come into play. They precisely control the distribution of cleaning media such as water, air, or cleaning fluid, ensuring that the nozzles activate only when cleaning is needed.

Functionality
A 3/2-way valve has three ports and two switching positions:
- Activated Position: A signal from the vehicle’s control unit triggers the electromagnetic coil, allowing cleaning media to flow at the optimal pressure and rate to sensors or cameras.
- Reset: After the cleaning process, the valve returns to its default position, stopping the flow or venting the system.
Solero’s sensor cleaning valves help optimize the cleaning process, maintain sensor reliability, and enhance overall ADAS performance – an essential factor for improving the safety and efficiency of modern vehicles.
